DEEP-SEE THROUGH THE ‘WAITING’ CONCEPT.

PART I

May be one of the most used cliché predicates but yet the most nerve-racking thing to do to most people is “waiting”. Waiting is self-perceived as an easy do thing unless yourself is the self being accommodated in the situation.

I came to noticeably learn of the above clauses and a few following ones after this during the course of my life in subject to the concept of waiting. I maybe partially subjective with this piece but I firmly believe there to be some objective things you can acquire from it.

Starting off with waiting in the case of others…………..

One can at their best be in the position to advice, condemn, criticize etc. their “waiting” periods and how fitting they handle them.

To oneself on the other hand………….

One can view waiting to be incomprehensible and out-of-earth complex to those who are not on their waiting time. One may even posit hastily that their waiting time feels more hurdled and custom-wise fashioned to be more impossibly difficult in comparison to others.

Whether in a singled out minute or in consecutions of years, Its featureless facile to say to another person ‘Please wait’ or ‘be on waiting’ or ‘you just have to be patient and wait’ until those very same words carrying merely the same meaning and intent are administered right back to you, the words launch into you differently and your journey to their acceptance is somehow prolonged.

But then,

If we first learn to understand the above two paradigm stances, we then know that it is best to understand someone else’s particular waiting situation and be able to lend a listen mind as we will in turn need the same cordial assistance when we are in our own situation of waiting. Here is when the balance of a hopefully-going through your waiting time can be attained, when those outside and those inside the waiting circumstance are in alignment to make that waiting time better.

Let’s now turn and look at waiting at a more different perspective. As it is convened to time.

If we look at waiting as a desolate and unproductive time the possibility to notice hardship, negative delay and every unrest second coming along with is verily high. On the other side of things, what if we view our waiting time in a way contrast to the one above?

Like say, we view our waiting time to see our loved ones once again as a time to reflect on what we best did by them or those things we did wrong by them and work on improving those for the next time we see and are with them, or say learn to thoughtfully capitulate positive ideas of their whereabouts when waiting for a delayed text message/call from your partner. Consequently, the aforementioned scenarios show a result of a more friendlier environment next time you converse with those people.

See, what we do during our waiting time progressively determines the situations that are to happen afterwards and converges the repercussions in our relationships for most of those situations. So, I would say, looking at our waiting time with a positive attitude can bring us to a place of learning, in-depth self-discovery and ultimately ‘GROWTH’.

I think now we may drive to an unconventional place of agreement that waiting time is a yielding ground of reflection, rectification and furnishing of our perspectives, behaviors, skills and ways we do things in life. This ground renders you a choice to either cultivate growth in you, your environment and those around you or impound destruction in those exact areas of your life.

It is a choice of perspectives, so best you choose to see the lessons, the mistakes for rectification, the possibilities and contemplation

To me personally, waiting time is a time for discovery and cultivation of the growth facets in my life.

A time well spent in our waiting circumstances may at our heart bring forth stamina in character. This is because in that well spent time, we know better! We stop and listen to our situation and figure out the factors dependent on our control and those that are independent of it. Then we realize there’s a limit to where we can go to make that situation end and beyond that is preposterous.

Only then our character comes to resonance with the state of being ‘not in control’. With time and the feeding service of wisdom our character grows muscles into a place of balance. Saves your head an extra needless ache.

Moving on, and carrying my fellow millennials with me on this part,

Let’s look at waiting as our mobile innovation factor………….

In subjected relationships to our technologized century lives, how do we young people today view waiting? Due to the current instantaneous ways of life most of us unknowingly interpret waiting into things like some time off, year gaps, silence, distancing etc. not knowing…………………………….

(To be Continued).
